Chairman and Vice Chairman
The central aim of the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority (GMPTA) is to support the economic, social and cultural development of Greater Manchester by improving the quality and connectivity of public transport across our region.
We recognise that public transport is key to Greater Manchester’s success.
Buses, trains and trams link people and places. They help people get out and about, to see friends and family, to get to work, to go shopping and to access leisure facilities. They provide vital access to schools, hospitals and centres of employment.
We all need good public transport to keep Greater Manchester moving forward. Whether you use it every day or every now and again, the way public transport runs makes a real difference to all of us.
As Chairman of GMPTA, I will work to ensure that we make the best policy decisions possible for the benefit of Greater Manchester and all of its public transport users.
