Seminars & Drop-In Events

Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority convenes Transport Drop-In Sessions to ensure that the people of Greater Manchester have a say in creating the best possible public transport system.

These local Drop-In Sessions are to be held four times per year in each of the ten districts thereby enabling public transport users to speak individually to the managers of the services they use on a one-to-one basis; or to speak to GMPTE/A officers on issues relating to public transport. If the relevant operator is not present at the Drop-In Event GMPTA/E officers will take note of any reports/ complaints and forward them to the relevant operator.

The Drop-In Sessions provide an important role in gathering the public's views on specific local transport issues.

If an individual is unable to attend the Transport Operator Session but wishes to raise a concern with the Passenger Transport Authority they may do so via our Online Enquiry Form on the Contact Us page, or if they wish to make a report/complaint to the Passenger Transport Executive about transport services they can do this via the Public Transport Comments link from the homepage of the GMPTE website.

In addition, joint district meetings are held in the form of sub-regional seminars at least twice per year, to facilitate effective cross-district consultation and debate on key GMPTA policy issues such as the PTA's levy/budget, its Policy Plan, the Local Transport Plan and service provision.
